A Loos Blog

FHA appraiser in Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister and Salinas California.

It’s hot, dirty, dusty, rough, and dangerous. It requires leather, ropes, boots, spurs, and livestock. Yes I could be talking about my last bank appraisal – but I’m not.

Here in San Benito County California, many of our neighbors earn their living raising and growing the food you and I eat. And, every year the cowboys and cowgirls gather at the San Benito County Fair Grounds for that only in America tradition, the Rodeo (pronounced rodAYo pard.)

For over 100 years, the San Benito County Rodeo and Saddle Horse Show has brought families together to watch the best in horse handling, cow cutting, bull riding and bronc bustin’. Hot dogs, pizza, nacho’s with that creamy runny gooey cheese. Kids wearing cowboy hats 4 sizes to big, and cowboys with belt buckles bigger than the grill on your F-150.

But best of all are the mutton busters! Kids under 70 pounds grab on to the woolliest sheep available and hold on for dear life. Only at the Rodeo folks.

Giddyap (here are some pics)
