Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation in Hollister

This is a great recreation for motorcycles, 4 wheelers, picnickers and also campers. It's located in the Gabilan Mountains and is only and hour's drive away from San Jose. The park has a wide elevation range from 660 feet to 2,425 feet. The ranch is divided into an Upper Ranch and an Lower ranch. The upper ranch has an area of 800 acres, which offers 24 miles of trails for 4 wheelers and motorcyclist to have special events on. It also has a fenced motorcycle track. It's a good idea to call before coming, specially on weekends, to make sure the area isn't reserved for any special events. You need to register first at the park office to use the area for a day. The upper ranch is available from 8 in the morning until sunset, and vehicle operation is available only during this time period. The lower ranch has 2,400 acres and is specially for motorcycle and ATV use only. It has 64 miles of trails and several hill climbs. It also has 2 picnic areas, a practice Motocross Track, and ATV track for 3 and 4 wheeled vehicles, a TT track, a mini-bk trial and a mini-truck track as well. Riding is allowed from sunrise to sunset.

The Leal Vineyards

The Owner of Leal Vineyards, Frank Leal, is a self-taught wine fanatic. He has reestablished San Benito Country's historic reputation as a winegrowing region and also provides exceptional vintages to his discerning fans. The Vineyard was hand installed by Frank with great care. He spent many weekends and late nights aligning rows and establishing an effective trellis system. The Leal Estate covers 45 acres. The Winery was developed with the same care and attention to detail. It is a building that is 10,000 square foot, located on the northern end of the property. Three massive arched doors have been constructed from 100 year old oak. Lavanda is the winery's event center. It has a large dance floor and a killer sound system. It also has a wine bar, barbecue, brick over fireplace, gazebo and deck overlooking a pond. It is a picture-perfect setting for parties, weddings and other events. The annual Summer Concert series is held here, and it is also a menu for frequent Comedy shows.
